This course is the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and UETDRMP007 Low Voltage Rescue.

This is the certificate that is suitable for those needing their 3 yearly LVR/First aid certificate.

This course can be delivered in the workplace or anywhere else suitable.

The course is online and in-person.

Our First Aid/LVR course is approx 5-6 hrs online pre-learning followed by an approx 2 hr face to face assessment.

Participants must to attend 100% of this first aid training. They must demonstrate competence in all assessment activities.

At your site or an alternative venue arranged by you.

Attendees must be able to perform 2 minutes of consistent CPR on the floor.

Before attending the face to face session, students may need to complete online pre-learning.

Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices.

Internet access is essential.

This is the best group LVR/First Aid training for people working in trades.

It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions.  It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Completing the course will provide an individual with the skills and knowledge to carry out and complete the LV panel rescue procedures and to perform First Aid and CPR on a casualty in a range of situations. It consists of real-life practical skills and knowledge to allow the participant to be assessed as competent in providing first aid and CPR in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines as well as rescue procedures from an LV apparatus.

Low voltage rescue comprises responsive operations that involve the saving of life, or prevention of injury during an incident or dangerous situation.

The First Aid and LVR course is essential if you are conducting live work or working with live switchboards.  The course covers the performance of rescue procedures from a live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace.

First Aid & LVR: Three (3) years from date of issue

CPR: One (1) year from the date of issue.

CPR refresher training should be annual. We will keep an eye on your due date for a refresher and send reminders.

14 years and up.

Enrolment to this course is made with Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.

Please refer to the student handbook, for details relating to rights and responsibilities, complaints and appeals.

Performance tasks and practical scenarios:

  • Perform CPR on an adult (incl. the use of an AED and placing a casualty into the recovery position)
  • Complete a first aid incident report form based on the simulated first aid scenario
  • Perform CPR on an infant
  • Manage the following:
    • a casualty with anaphylaxis
    • casualty with asthma
    • choking casualty
    • casualty with non-life-threatening bleeding and shock, requiring minor wound cleaning
    • a nosebleed
    • a fracture and dislocation
    • casualty with a sprain and strain
    • envenomation (snake/ funnel-web spider bite)
    • Inspection and placement of rescue equipment and performing a rescue
    • Low voltage panel rescue

Theory assessment: A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
