Our Founder
After 25 years in paediatric nursing, from emergency rooms and ICU wards in Australia and the UK to allergy clinics at one of Sydney’s leading children’s hospitals, I’ve seen what happens when parents don’t have the knowledge or confidence to act in a crisis.
For the past decade, I’ve specialised as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Childhood Allergy, helping families navigate the chaos of food allergies, choking scares, and those terrifying “what if” moments that come with raising little humans.
Now, I’m channelling everything I’ve learned into something bigger, The Nest Memberships, from baby first aid and allergy food introduction to living with childhood food allergy, this is about building real confidence that lasts.
We still teach in-home and online baby first aid courses, and my team continues to deliver workplace training through The First Aid Nest, but the heart of my work now lives inside our memberships, where education meets community and parents finally stop feeling alone.

When the baby started choking, my baby first aid training kicked in…
In 2019, I found myself in a Sydney park where a terrifying incident unfolded. A 6-month-old baby began choking on a piece of sausage, her face turning grey, and she stopped breathing. The panic was palpable as her mother cried out, unsure of what to do.
Acting on instinct, I approached the distraught mother and immediately began administering choking first aid to the infant. Despite nearly five back blows, the situation grew more dire, and I feared I might need to resort to chest thrusts or even baby CPR.
Then, a moment of immense relief as the baby expelled a massive vomit. The tension released, and I felt as though I emerged from a laser-focused fog, shaking but grateful.
You see, in that moment, I knew what to do. It was instinctual, automatic. I didn’t pause to think; I simply acted.
And that’s exactly how we want you to feel after completing one of our baby first aid and CPR courses. We want you to be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to act decisively in emergencies, just like second nature.
